Imagine this. A springtime engagement in Charleston. The sun is bright and warm, and the entire city smells like one giant Jasmine flower. There’s blooms everywhere. The Battery is to the right of you and you can hear the waves crashing and smell the sea breeze. Bright colors from the houses catch your eye, and you can’t help but feel like you’re in the most gorgeous place in the south. Perfection, right?
Getting to take a springtime trip to Charleston just to smell all the jasmine and gardenias blooming is perfection alone. Add two best friends who joined us on our trip and you have literally the best time ever on your hands. Hannah and Reid are the absolute sweetest couple. These two are high school sweet hearts and have been together for what feels like forever. I was so thrilled that my sweet friends were engaged! This springtime engagement in Charleston is probably my favorite to date. I’m so thankful that they’ve included me in documenting their love over the years. It’s been such a blessing.
We strolled around White Point Gardens and made our way through historic downtown Charleston and finally to Rainbow Row. Hannah shares my love of flowers and plants, so all the window boxes and flowers were oo’d and ahh’d over. You could just stick your face in the thousands of Jasmine vines blooming. There were thousands and they all smelled like heaven. Warm sunshine and the best smell in the world? We see you, Charleston. Just the setting for the perfect springtime engagement in Charleston– the Queen City.
