The perfect spring day with the perfect couple. Hanna and Sebastian are celebrating 7 sweet month anniversary together as a new husband and wife pair. They met me at Historic Oak View in Raleigh and I was greeted immediately with hugs and smiles. Their love was beaming immediately. We began to chat as we started walking around the park soaking up sweet hugs and kisses.
First thing I noticed, Sebastian’s amazing floral, pixel shoes. They were absolutely, hands down the coolest shoes I’ve seen. He pulled them out to match Hanna’s black and floral floor length dress. Any groom that puts this much amazing effort into matching their sweet brides will get huge bonus points in the marriage department. Hah! These two were amazing and looked amazing, too. I have to admit that dresses are my favorite for sessions. It adds such a romantic feel. Hanna’s dress was absolutely that!
The one thing we talked about the most? Marriage. It’s HARD. Hanna and Sebastian have a sweet daughter together. So on top of being newly weds, they are mom and dad. Navigating your way through parenthood, marriage and life can be challenging. But you roll with the hard times, embrace the good times and laugh a whole lot. To unwind after a long day, these two watch movies together and talk about their day. Having a listening ear to share with about the day you went through is exactly what’s needed some days. Their communication and love for each other was so apparent during their session. They could finish thoughts for each other, share in stories and truly appreciate one another.
My favorite thing to do during a session to bring out the sweetest smiles? Tell him– “Tell your bride 3 reasons why you love and appreciate her.” And in return, she smiles and tells him 3 reasons why she’s thankful for him. The outcome of hearing those reasons and knowing that you’re appreciated and loved? Genuine looks. Heartfelt smiles. Honest kisses. That’s hands down my favorite moment of sessions. We soak up the little moments, capturing sweet dances, hugs, nose to nose smiles. All of the good. I’m so happy I was able to spend time with Hanna and Sebastian! I know their photographs will be some of my favorites for years to come.
