Let’s talk about a beautifully cold, snowy day dedicated to two of the most fun people I’ve met! Kim and Brad said their I do’s in January amid the threat of snow, ice and freezing rain. The Barn at Valhalla was the perfect setting for this by the fire, cozy day. This snowy Chapel Hill wedding was absolutely one of my favorite days.
Kim and Brad give sparks of energy and joy to those they’re around. They are bubbly and incredibly hilarious. I got to know these two during their engagement session in downtown Raleigh. Brad co-owns several downtown bars, and we were able to venture through several of them. Technically we bar hopped for a photo session! Can a get a whoop whoop!? Literally so much fun. So, anyone who knows the knew that a fun wedding day would be in the works.
On their sweet day, they braved the cold and snow flakes to be together outside for the snuggliest of winter portraits. The gorgeous fire place was lit and they danced together under cozy lights. An evening ceremony took place inside with stunning mountain-esque windows in the background.
The couple exited their ceremony with a snowy paper toss to accompany the real snowflakes (they might have been sleet “flakes” because NC winters never have it together– but nonetheless wintery wonder.) The rest of winter wonderland light included a snowy scene cake, loads of dancing and sparklers. This wedding is absolutely worth the look. Congratulations to Kim and Brad!
