When I first talked to Jenny on the phone, I knew she was my kind of person. The sweetest most bubbly voice told me about her and her new hubby’s want for portraits with their family. And, the best part? Puppies! Jenny and Danny had recently eloped at Middleton Plantation in Charleston. They wanted their parents to be a part of the celebration and cherished memories, so family portraits were the solution. This Lowcountry elopement portrait session is hands down one of my favorites.
Jenny and I looked over several locations between Beaufort and Hilton Head Island. I mentioned the church ruins to her, and it was perfect! The ruins were exactly what she had been dreaming of. We met at the ruins on a warm day in May with puppies in tow. Jenny had made all three dachshunds flower collars. (I’m a full believer that every puppy deserves to be that beautiful.)
I absolutely loved hanging out with this sweet family and getting to walk through the ruins. Once the portraits were a wrap, they celebrated with champagne. The perfect end to the best session ever. Congratulations, Jenny, Danny and puppies on your new life as hubby, wife and doggy parents!
