There is no greater love I know than that of a mama’s love for her little. I introduced motherhood portraits a few ago, and these photographs are quickly becoming close to my heart. Life is a story compiled of thousands of tiny moments. these tiny moments are fleeting. We can’t hold on to them and make them last longer. That snuggle you give your baby when they hold on tight. The smell of their freshly shampooed baby hair. The giggle they give when they find a seashell in the sand. All of these moments are flashing so quickly before our mama eyes. The only way we can permanently capture these seconds in time is through photographs.
Whitney and sweet Charley Grace joined me for an Atlantic Beach Motherhood session. It was a perfect sunny morning for walking through sand, wiggling sandy piggy toes and somewhat reluctantly splashing in the salty waves. Instead of a perfectly posed session, this mama and her little girl interacted in a natural and wholesome way. Nothing staged. Just play, exploring and sweet hugs and kisses. The morning was simple and sweet. The bond between this mam and her baby is so obvious and beautiful. I’m so thankful to have been able to capture these fleeting moments for this gorgeous new mama.
