I’ve felt the cooped up winter blues for far to long, and my adventure for this Fripp Island elopement was just what my soul needed. I’m beyond thankful for yesterday!
Spanish moss in golden light, sea foam waves crashing on a sandy shore, and an in love husband and wife snuggled up. A Notebook worthy moment, definitely.
In my work I strive to evoke the feeling of romance and old fashioned love stories. The kind of photographs you would want your grandchildren to see one day and think of how incredible their grandparents love has been.
I want photographs to speak to a lifetime of love like reading a perfectly written romance novel, or flipping through the pages of an old love letter from a time before digital communication.
And, when you get to the hard parts of your novel, I want these photographs hanging in your home to remind you that there is still good. There is still hope. There will be sunshine again.
And although we can’t transport and live in a time with less phones buzzing and distractions, we can choose to be present and choose to live moments of romance and build a lasting marriage for our future families to hang on to. I adore the wedding day filled with what the couple wants to do– a quiet wedding with time for beach strolls. A small beach dinner with family and a night to truly remember.
