The long wait from the cold winter months to those cheerful, bright and warm moments of spring are the hardest. Winter’s cold sleep has lasted for what feels like an eternity. The surrounding world is brown and full of once vibrant leaves. And, we wait.
Primaveral ¦prīmə¦virəl – adj – of or relating to an early spring.
There was a primaveral longing for warmth, color and romantic horseback rides that springtime brings. It brings me straight to my grandmother’s azalea garden in those early spring days, full of blooms and buzzing friends. It reminds me of a picnic on a warm, sunny day in the garden. We needed the color and hope to get us through those dragging last few days of winter. We needed to know that through the waiting, through the cold, those warmer days were coming soon– we just have to hang on and breathe until the sun can meet the flowers once again.
For our Primaveral Elopement Inspiration shoot, we incorporated soft color pallets of whites, pinks and yellows and magnolia blooms to drape around our equine friend’s neck. We utilized the fruit of the season with citrus accents and a delicious English tea cake which bring hope to spring time garden picnics in the coming months.
