I’m so excited to share this session with you all! Emily and I had been planning her and Aaron’s anniversary portraits at Ocean Isle for some time. Through a bit of planning, we designed an anniversary lunch and date night, and it was absolutely perfect.
Emily and Aaron purchased their historic Ocean Isle cottage and have been pouring their all into this house. If you’ve ever restored and remodeled a historic home, you know how much painstaking time goes into this labor of love. Emily is an interior designer, and with her eye for all things gorgeous, their home has transformed into the most charming sound side cottage imaginable.
For their portraits, we started with a curated lunch, some apple mango cider, the best southern pimento cheese sandwiches, and sweet lemon bars. A bottle of champagne was popped for celebration. These two then made their way to relax on the wrap around porch of their house– which is within a short walk of the sound side and private boat piers.
We took a beautiful sunset walk under neath Spanish moss oak trees towards the water. I was absolutely sure when I arrived at this cottage that we had stumbled into Charleston. This area of Ocean Isle tucked away was a gorgeous slice of North Carolina heaven. We walked passed cascading jasmine and right into the sunset water views.
I hope you absolutely love Emily and Aaron’s anniversary portraits in Ocean Isle as much as I do!
